News about $4 Million “War Booty” Mercedes-Benz

As the World War II has ended around seven decades ago, but some battles were still being fought even until now. The latest Mercedes concern’s true owner of the 1935 Mercedes-Benz model known as the 500K Roadster that was sold last year at the RM Monterey sale for just $3.7 million. However German court has currently ruled that this great car supposed to be the property of real heirs of the wealthiest German industrialist who has originally purchased this great car.

Known Dutch collectors particularly the Franz van Haren and the Tony Paalman has bought the classic Mercedes-Benz at the California official auction, though when they had it all shipped to the Techno Classica in the town of Essen, Germany, during this March, the car was fully seized with the help of local constabulary.

The legendary Mercedes was bought firstly by Hans Prym in the 1935 and was therefore owned by the “Zipper King” until its full disappearance in the year 1945, when Prym had been sent to prison by Allies. Prym’s heirs have charged that the car had been stolen by the American servicemen and later was shipped out of country. Under the German legal system, the 30-year long statute of the limitations had not yet expired as the car was not at that time in Germany. But no one knew what happened to the car from the war time and until 1970s.
