Mercedes-Benz presented the first hybrid SUV GLE M-Class

The company Mercedes-Benz introduced the updated SUV M-Class family, which received the name after restyling GLE. The novelty will be the first all-terrain model in the history of the German brand, which will be a version with a hybrid power plant with the ability to recharge the batteries from a household electrical outlet.

The front end is made in the style of a crossover GLE Coupe, shown in December 2014. The novelty differs from the previous M-Class by a different grille, as modified headlamps, new LED taillights and other pipes of the exhaust system.

Hybrid versions vehicle, designated GLE 500e 4Matic, is equipped with power plant on the sedan S500 Plug-In Hybrid. It includes the three-liter twin-turbo “six” power of 333 horsepower, 85-kilowatt electric motor (116 hp), a set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 8.8 kilowatt-hour and seven-step automatics 7G-Tronic Plus. The amount of units issued 442 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque.
