Mercedes-Benz announced a four-wheel drive van Vito

Mercedes-Benz has announced the release of all-wheel drive passenger and cargo van Vito 4×4. The car is designed for use in cold climates.
Mercedes-Benz Vito 4×4 is equipped with a set of opposite wheel-drive system with traction control system 4ETS (Electronic Traction System). Last able to separately apply the brake wheels lose traction, and forward traction on the other wheel.
Mercedes engineers say the system 4ETS works in milliseconds, and simulates three differentials.

At the time to market Mercedes-Benz Vito 4×4 will be offered exclusively with a 2.15-liter four-cylinder engine capacity of 190 horsepower (440 Nm), working together with a seven-speed transmission 7G-TRONIC PLUS. With these units minivan can be accelerated up to 199 kilometers per hour, spending an average of 6.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

Later, Vito will join the line-wheel-drive version with more available engines capacity of 136 and 163 horsepower.
Orders for 190-strong Vito 4×4 in Germany have already been taken. The car is priced at 36 thousand 120 euros.
