Mercedes-Benz and the Moscow Raceway Start Cooperation in the Field of Motor Sports

Mercedes-Benz and the Moscow Raceway racetrack signed an agreement on long-term cooperation. The contract involves sports activities organized by Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG at Moscow Raceway and comprehensive representation of the brand on the track. The area around the third turn of T3 will be called Mercedes-AMG Arena, and alongside to this building there will be posted a Tribune Mercedes-AMG for about 10,040 spectators, which will be invited to visit Mercedes-AMG.

Opening track of Moscow Raceway will be in the end of 2012, and during this season the track will receive its first guests – here they will host World Series by Renault, round of FIM World Superbike, there will be held the Championship of FIA GT1 World Championship, Russian Racing Championship and other motorsport event.

According to Juergen Sauer, General Director of Mercedes-Benz in the Eastern European division, “we welcome the opportunity to contribute to the popularization of motor sport in Russia, using our brand Mercedes-AMG”. In such a way, everyone else is very positive about this cooperation, especially if it is going to increase the interest of people in motor sport.
