Mercedes-AMG will present the second generation of the charged hatchback A45 in 2018

German car brand Mercedes, together with their colleagues from tuning studio AMG is developing a new generation of models A45. The car will receive an updated appearance and outstanding performance. The new generation of the car will get even more boosted 2.0-liter engine.

The updated model will be equipped with 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with a powerful turbocharging, as a result the vehicle power plant capacity will increase to 405 horsepower. AMG division engineers increased the power due to new fuel injectors, modified turbocharger and subtle improvements of the process of fuel combustion. The charged hatchback will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4 seconds due to the updated engine, 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

The car body will be also slightly updated. It is expected that the model will be a little longer, but the designers promise to work on the weight of the car, so it could be quite low. New generation of A45 will compete in the market with such models as Audi RS3 and BMW M2.
