As we have mentioned in the previous articles about the marketing campaigns of the Mercedes company, they opened a new branch, in which the fans could participate in the creation of an ad through the twitter. We have mentioned about this in some article before, but now, as we have learned the details of the project, we want to share them with our readers.

So, it is clear that fans were able to create an ad of Mercedes not from the scratch. They could develop it on the basis of the available background. The hero of the first movie was a rap artist, who had to catch a performance by moving away from a police chase. Viewers could choose what to do with the hero, at the right time voting with the hashtag # hide (hide) and # evade (dodge). In addition, running an online YouTube channel, where viewers can come up with their own scripts for video.

The campaign was developed by youdrive agency BBDO. Its cost is estimated at several million pounds. It is noted that British users of Twitter (in the British sector at the service there are about ten million subscribers) were the first who had the possibility to test the mechanism of interactive advertising. As the audience is quite big, the investment seems fair enough.
