Hybrid minivan Mercedes-Benz is faster than hot-hatch

The company Mercedes-Benz has presented at the Geneva Motor Show a concept hybrid version of the minivan V-Class, which was called V-ision e. From zero to hundred kilometers per hour the prototype accelerates in 6.1 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than the Volkswagen Golf GTI with 220-horsepower engine and 0.6 seconds faster than the Renault Clio RS.

Concept car is manned by hybrid gasoline-electric C-Class last generation. It includes a 210-horsepower gasoline engine, 90-kilowatt (122 horsepower) electric motor and a set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 13.5 kilowatt-hours. The total output is 333 powers and 600 Nm. Only on electric prototype can travel 50 kilometers at a speed not exceeding 80 kilometers per hour. Average fuel consumption of the engine is activated three liters per hundred kilometers.

At V-ision e have several modes of control electronics. In addition to the all-electric, the driver can select the mode in which the electric motor will assist the internal combustion engine during acceleration.
