Atelier Brabus has made 900-strong “Rocket” from S-Class

German tuning company Brabus modified the most powerful version of the sedan Mercedes-Benz S-Class – S65 AMG, calling it Rocket 900. The return of the base six-liter V12 biturbomotor was increased from 630 to 900 horsepower. Maximum torque at the same time has increased from 1,000 to 1,500 Nm, but it had to be forced to limit the 1200 Nm.
After completions displacement was increased for 6.3 liters. They included the replacement of turbines, installation of corporate crankshaft, new pistons and connecting rods, as well as the cylinder bore. In addition, it has been completely redesigned exhaust system and air supply system.

With modified semi-diapason “automatic” Rocket 900 accelerates from zero to hundred kilometers per hour in 3.7 seconds. That’s 0.6 seconds faster than the regular S65 AMG. Threshold limit the maximum speed is shifted from 250 to 350 kilometers per hour. Claimed fuel consumption is 17.1 liters per hundred kilometers.

Besides the engine, Brabus modified chassis. The car has received the air suspension, which is controlled from the cabin and allows reducing the ride height by 15 millimeters. Also sedan equipped with carbon fiber aerodynamic elements – similar to that installed Brabus on weaker AMG-version of the S-Class – S63.
Cost Brabus Rocket 900 is between 347 000 719 euros.
