Letter “C” is given to the car with coupe or cabrio body style.
Letter “D” shows that the car has a diesel engine installed.
Letter “E” actually comes from the German word “Einspritzen” and means that the car’s engine has a special petrol or gasoline fuel injection system.
Letter “G” is given to so-called Gelandewagen cars – the off-roaders.
Letter “K” indicates a supercharged vehicle.
Letter “L” tells us that the car is lightweight and this letter is usually used for sport models.
Letter “R” stays for racing and therefore is usually given to racing car names.
Letter “S” means Sonderklasse or in English – “Special class”.
Letter “T” is given for “Touring” and wagon body style vehicles.
