Mercedes extreme version Gelandewagen G63 AMG 4×4

Mercedes-Benz is preparing another extreme Gelandewagen – “Brother” of six-wheel G63 AMG 6×6 to 4×4. The new model will have under the hood of the same combination of engine and transmission, as well as some techniques of differential and new chassis aimed at further development of the already high off-road qualities.
Gelandewagen is promised to be presented in 2015. To market its release will be in the two years before the submission of a significant upgrade of the famous classic military SUV Mercedes-Benz, which is planned for 2017.
Because of the vivid colors of the prototype, the new high-tech Gelandewagen insiders dubbed the “Green Monster”. In their reports, the car will be equipped with 5.5-liter bi-turbo V6 petrol engine with direct injection, used in the standard G63 AMG.

90-degree unit develops 537 hp power and 760 Nm of torque, which, through the seven-speed AMG Speed shift and a separate transfer case transmitted to all four wheels.
Big changes endured newly developed suspension, allowing the car to have the same ground clearance as in six-wheel “monster” – 460 mm, and overcome a ford deep and 1 000 mm.

It is not known whether offered on the SUV giant 37-inch wheels, six-wheeled as “brothers.” Although the extended wheel arches hint prototype, they will be more important than it is now offered on a standard G63 AMG 20-inch wheels with 275/50 tires.
