The Release of the E300 BlueTEC Hybrid and E400

Today we are going to talk about the novelties of the German auto concern, which is going hand in hand with the time and is concerned with the environment. As the research and development of the company is done on the most appreciated stage ever, it should not be a surprise, that the company is developing new engines and putting them into the cars. Mercedes officially introduced hybrid versions of E300 BlueTEC and E400.

Hybrid model E300 BlueTEC Hybrid will go on sale in Europe in the sedan and wagon models. Under the hood will there be installed 201-horsepower 4-cylinder diesel engine and the electric motor of 27 hp Torque will be 250 nm. With the hybrid system fuel consumption equal to 4.2 l/100 km and CO2 emission level is 109 g/km.

On the other hand hybrid E400 has a 3.5-liter gasoline V6 with 302 hp and torque of 370 nm. It works in tandem with the above motor. Fuel consumption in the urban cycle is 10 l/100km on the highway – 13 l/100km and 11 l/100 km in the combined cycle. This model will go on sale in the U.S. before going to Japan and China. Both models will be presented at the American’s International Auto Show.
