The new Mercedes passed various tests in different road conditions and temperature. The model was brought to the wind tunnel with climatic surprises: at temperatures from minus 40 to plus 60 degrees Celsius. In addition, GLC F-Cell SUVs were run on various stands both in completed form and even separate units.

The special attention was paid to the safety of the hydrogen plant. Cylinders are installed within the wheelbase and covered with a sub frame. There are added several emergency valves to prevent the balloon’s explosion in a case of impact. The Company also thought over the protective measures of the high-voltage system. There was claimed that the previous Mercedes GLC F-Cell could run around 500 km on one charge. So, it is possible that the serial model’s figure will not be worse.
