According to Autocar informal publication, the premiere of the concept car Mercedes-AMG Vision Concept will be timed to celebration of the 50th anniversary of the company AMG, which was founded in 1967.
Last year, several reports indicated the appearance of 400-horsepower Mercedes-AMG A45 S. However, later the head of the AMG division, Tobias Moers said that such a power is unattainable for the 2.0-liter turbo engine in the current generation of A-Class. A similar statement was made by Mathias Schmidt, a marketing manager of AMG compact cars.
Mercedes-Benz keeps testing sedan AMG S63, which is still hiding the front and rear panels, alluding to minor changes. LED headlights Multibeam will be refreshed, while the rear lights will be borrowed from the current generation of the model. Four twin exhaust pipes unveiled the fact that we see the S63, not S65 with the 12-cylinder V-shaped engine.
In addition, special vehicles received drift mode, allowing reallocating up to 100 percent of torque to the rear axle. Drift mode is available for the top-end version Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC +. It can be activated by understeering switch through the Race mode, after that ESP system turns off, and the front box switch to manual mode. All of the torque will be applied only to the rear axle until the driver does not switch off the mode by himself.
German company Mercedes-Benz has officially introduced charged sedans Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ and E 63 S 4MATIC+ of 2017 model year. High-performance cars built on the base of Mercedes-Benz E-Class model of the new-generation are called by the representatives of the brand, “the most powerful E-Class ever.” As other new charged models of the German auto giant, “hot” sedan will be available in two modifications – Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ and Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC +.
